Where digital transformation has yet to come.
As an experienced user of devices assembled to my body with a K4 activity level, I have spent the last 30 years testing the promises of adaptive mobility equipment manufacturers where marketing doesn’t reach. From the summit of Aconcagua to glacier trekking, sailing, long-distance hiking, and extensive cycling routes, I have challenged technology with real-world stability and response tests, far from the controlled environments of suppliers.
My conclusion is personal, professionally respectful, yet uncomfortable: the limit is no longer human, it is #technological. And it doesn’t just affect one brand, but the vast majority of manufacturers or vendors.
I am presenting the #HumanPROtech Manifesto: a demand for evolution from an industry that is still building analog hardware for a digital world. More than just integrations, we need a revolution. Even AI in high-impact components. We are not patients. We are User Experts demanding real-time impact data, structural robustness, and true intelligence.
Challenging technology, empowering people, should be the inspiration.
I share my experience with the #KX06 (Blatchford) or #TotalKnee2100 (Ossur) knee and other component manufacturers, but above all, the gaps that the industry still needs to fill.
